CADA (Computer Aided Diffusion Analysis) Computer Environment
Computational environment CADA (Computer Aided Diffusion Analysis) fills the gap with software for diffusion/electrodiffusion calculations. CADA combines user friendly and intuitive interface with wide application capabilities. Software is based on: i) Darken’s concept of diffusion and drift separation, ii) Nernst-Planck diffusion flux and iii) Poisson equation for the electric field. The key features of the software are: i) concentration dependent diffusivities and thermodynamic activities of the components, ii) open and closed systems (Neumann type boundary conditions), iii) arbitrary initial concentrations, iv) finite geometry of the sample (e.g. multilayers) and v) any number of components (limited in practice only by computational capabilities of the used hardware). CADA allows calculations of interdiffusion/electrodiffusion calculations in real functional materials, time evolution of the system (concentration and electric field profiles) and predicts region of stress generation due to interdiffusion. One of the key feature of CADA is a possibility of determination of diffusion coefficients.
Software is freely available. Please contact:
